Childhood obesity awareness workshop

This is an introductory course, suitable for all health professionals, community practitioners and staff working with children.

Learning outcomes:

• Be aware of the assessment, causes, and consequences of childhood obesity
• Feel more confident to raise the issue of weight and the importance of weight maintenance in children
• Understand how you can contribute to helping the overweight or obese child and their family
• Be aware of the local initiatives and referral options for overweight and obese children.
