The Food Partnership works with schools on a range of initiatives to promote healthy eating.

Healthy eating is important for a healthy mind and concentration. Eating a healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks can make a big difference to behaviour in the classroom and learning. There is a wealth of information available about how to make healthy eating a bigger part of the school day.

The Food Partnership can offer workshops which train staff, parents and volunteers to deliver healthy lunchbox sessions. The workshops are designed around the Food Standards Agency Eatwell Plate which illustrates the components of a healthy and balanced diet. We can visit Brighton & Hove Schools to deliver the workshops at minimal cost; workshops are tailored to individual schools’ needs but usually comprise an adults-only training session followed by a session including pupils.
