This course helps families with children who are above the healthy weight range for their age and height to learn how to lead healthier lifestyles. The programme incorporates ten weekly sessions, each lasting 1 hour 45 minutes, and combines active play, parent discussion groups and family workshops. The sessions take place after school at community venues, schools and leisure centres. Our active play sessions will give you ideas and tips for games to play with your child, to encourage them to have fun and keep moving. In addition to helping to improve agility, balance and co-ordination, we also work on building their confidence. The course will help your family make gradual changes in the food you eat and the exercise you take so you can feel fitter, healthier and happier – for good.
