What to expect at Shape Up at Work

The Shape Up at Work programme has 8 weekly sessions each lasting 1 ½ hours. The sessions include a 45 minute discussion about healthy eating followed by 45 minutes of moderate activity suitable for all ages and levels of mobility.

Shape Up at Work will:

  • Give you up to date, evidence based, information on healthy eating and activity.
  • Help you to identify what will motivate you to change your lifestyle.
  • Support you to achieve weight loss goals.
  • Encourage and support you to make achievable lifestyle changes.
  • Help you to become aware of your personal relationship with food.

 

The programme is not about...

  • Strict diets.
  • Weighing you in public (all measures are kept confidential).
  • Criticising or judging you.

 

To get the most from this course we hope your staff will be able to:

  • Attend each session.
  • Arrive on time (we will make sure we finish on time).
  • Participate and make changes at their own pace.
  • Complete the tasks that are set.
