Eager to learn more and start making changes? Then our community workshops are for you!Food waste can be avoided if we all make a few simple changes. Thanks to funding from the Brighton & Hove City Council, we are running a series of free community workshops designed to help you learn new habits and save money by reducing the amount of food you waste. These sessions are social and informal, so they work really well if the particiapnts know each other, but they can also be a place to meet like-minded people. With the Love Food Hate Waste campaign, we are trying to encourage you to think about your food buying and storage, cooking and eating habits with the aim of reducing the amount of food wasted. Our info-packed and interactive workshop will provide you with key facts about food waste and top tips on:
By the end of the workshop we hope you will pledge to do 1 thing to reduce your food waste and go away happy in the knowledge that you are doing your bit to help the environment as well. The workshops last for 1.5 hours (including a cooking demonstration) and all are welcome. If your organisation/group is interested in hosting one of our workshops, and can provide a venue, we can bring the educators, equipment and materials and food to make the event happen.
